Simply put Marcus was absolutely sensational. We had booked Marcus for a 3 hour slot at our wedding to play to our guests as they arrived at the venue, and to play in the background during our wedding breakfast. His communication throughout from the day we booked him was excellent. He arrived early, no fuss, set up and started to play. To be honest I didn't even see him arrive he just did. He started to play in the venue but as the weather was so hot everyone was outside, so he just came out played outside and performed again no fuss. We sat down for our wedding breakfast and he performed in the background. Not overpowering just very nice background music. His repertoire of songs is first class and includes loads of well known songs by big artists. Marcus performs these songs with his own spin perfectly. When planning our big wedding we spent so long trawling through Google looking for musicians, it was something we really worried about as we had to take a leap in the dark and pick someone we had never heard play before! We are so so fortunate that we came across Marcus. We were originally looking for a band but Marcus ended up being exactly what we needed. I cannot tell you how accommodating Marcus was throughout the entire planning process of our wedding. He stayed in touch for the whole year beforehand, helping to perfect every detail of the day. He was up for everything and took all our suggestions and requests on board. He always replied in a timely manner and was just so lovely to liaise with - nothing was ever too much for him. It was so kind of him to travel the extra distance to us for our event. In person, Marcus was equally as lovely, he blended in perfectly with the day and completely got on with it. We had Marcus for an afternoon set during our drinks reception and everyone commented on how great he was. Marcus let us bespokely pick everything from his repertoire and even added in many favourites of our choice too, even when he had to learn these especially. Our guests loved that he could perform requests and he just made the whole thing so easy - he brought all of his own equipment and even played a personalised playlist for us during his breaks. Marcus went above and beyond also performing our first dance for us live. This was such a special touch that again everyone complimented us on. Marcus learnt our first dance song especially and even sent us a demo of it before the day so we could practice our routine to it! Like I said, nothing was too much for him. Marcus then performed a live evening set for us as well as singing some unique chosen numbers for us. It was amazing how Marcus kept the crowd going single handedly (especially as our families are not big dancers at all) - he hit both the laid back, acoustic vibe and evening party vibe and he blended in perfectly with our DJ that we had for later into the night. Marcus also used his experience to advise us on which songs he would perform acoustically and which may require a backing track - we're so glad we trusted his judgement with everything as it all went so well. Marcus gave us as much time as we wanted and didn't rush off at all - we only wish he could have stayed to celebrate longer! I really cannot express enough how incredibly good value for money Marcus is - I have no hesitation that he will soon be booked out for weddings and events across the country - get him whilst you still can!
